Available on EASE PRO
EASE Auditor Qualifications lets quality teams define qualification requirements, attach them to specific assessment documents, so only qualified personnel are scheduled for those audits. Qualifications are built from Skills, individual competencies you define, and can be earned through On-The-Job Training in EASE or assigned manually for credentials earned outside the platform. Expiration is configurable.
Your audit programs are only as strong as the people performing them. Most teams still rely on manual checks, spreadsheets, and memory to verify auditor qualifications. EASE Auditor Qualifications changes that, connecting qualification requirements directly to audit scheduling, inside the same platform you already use to run your audit program.
What You Can Do
Define and assign qualifications
Create qualifications and attach them directly to your assessment documents. Qualification requirements are optional and admin-configured. You choose which assessments require them.
Qualification-aware scheduling
When a qualification is required on an assessment document, a warning appears if an assessor without the required qualification is selected, and that person will not be scheduled. All eligible auditors remain visible in the selection list.
Turn training into readiness
Complete the required On-the-Job Training in EASE and earn the qualification automatically. All skills bundled into the qualification are awarded at the same time. Qualifications can also be assigned manually for credentials earned outside EASE.
How It Works
1. Define and attach
Admins create Skills (individual competencies), then group them into Qualifications. Each Qualification can include Associated Training(s): OJT sessions that, when completed, automatically award the Qualification. Admins then attach Qualification requirements to specific assessment documents via the REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS tab inside a document within Library → Documents.
2. Enforce at scheduling
When a Qualification requirement is set on an assessment document, a warning appears if an assessor without the required qualification is selected, and that person will not be scheduled for the audit. All eligible auditors remain visible in the selection list.
3. Earn and maintain
Qualifications are earned two ways: through On-the-Job Training in EASE (completing all Associated Training(s) automatically awards the Qualification) or through manual assignment by an admin. Qualifications can be configured to expire. When they do, the user is no longer eligible for assessments that require that Qualification.
Scheduling Training by Qualification
When you need to schedule training for a qualification with multiple required trainings, scheduling by qualification ensures all related trainings are assigned at once. When scheduling On-the-Job Training, select Schedule Type: By Qualification in the Create Training Schedule form. Choose a Qualification from the dropdown. The required training documents are automatically populated as read-only. Add trainees, set your Due Date and Start Window, and submit.
Getting Set Up
Recommended setup order:
- Create Skills, if needed: go to Admin → Organization → Skills and create the individual competencies for your audit program (optional, Skills are not required for a Qualification to work)
- Go to Admin → Organization → Qualifications and create Qualifications. If you want qualifications to be earned automatically through OTJT, add Associated Training(s). Training documents must already exist in the Training Library before they can be selected here (optional).
- Go to Library → Documents, open each relevant assessment document, select the REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS tab, and click + Add Qualification(s)
- Ensure users have the Qualification Manager role or Site Admin role assigned in Settings → Role Settings to manage qualifications

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Qualifications without On-the-Job Training?
Yes. You can manually assign Qualifications for credentials earned anywhere, inside or outside EASE, and attach requirements to your assessments from day one. OJT enables the automatic earn path but is not required to get started.
What happens when a Qualification expires?
The user no longer meets the requirement for assessments that require it. Contact your admin to re-earn the qualification through training or have it manually reassigned.
A user completed all their training but hasn't been awarded the Qualification. What should I check?
Confirm the Qualification has Associated Training(s) configured — without them, the Qualification must be manually assigned. Confirm the completed training sessions are the ones currently scheduled for this Qualification (past completions of the same document do not count toward a new requirement). If both check out and the Qualification still hasn't been awarded, contact support.
